Strength in numbers: MRL goes all in on Tadano® GR-800-EX rough terrain cranes
06.Aug.2020

Australian mining service provider orders eight cranes in six months.

When rough terrain cranes are needed, Australian mining service provider Mineral Resources (MRL) knows that Tadano is the only way to go: “We already have a large number of Tadano® GR-700-EX rough terrain cranes in our fleet, and we’re tremendously happy with both their reliability and performance. That’s why Tadano was the obvious place to look when it came to this new fleet expansion,” reports Executive General Manager Bob Gavranich, who believes that providing his team cutting-edge machinery is a crucial factor in MRL’s business success.

“Our ability to retain our operators by providing them with the latest equipment is a contributing factor in the success of our business. Having reliable, safe and ergonomically friendly equipment that can be easily maintained goes a long way towards maintaining a sustainable and profitable business,” he says.

Gavranich points out how Tadano’s extraordinary after-sales service also played a part in his decision to purchase the cranes. “The product support has been first class and the team at Tadano are great to deal with, so I can assure you that the eight new GR-800-EX units will be far from the last Tadano cranes to become part of our fleet,” he said.

The new cranes were handed over by Tadano Oceania National Mining Manager Justin Bowker. MRL will use them at various work sites in Western Australia, including Kemerton, Mount Whaleback, and Parker Range.
